What are you going to sort?
Batteries
All batteries, from the teeny tiny batteries in watches and hearingaids, to regular single-use batteries and large standby batteries shall be turned in for recycling.
Dealers/merchants that sell batteries are committed to accept the same kind of batteries as they sell in return free of charge.
Batteries can also be submitted at recycling centres as either batteries or hazardous waste. Some municipalities have established pickup system for such products. Submit all your batteries at a recycling centre or at collection points that are placed at grocery-stores or second-hand stores.
Some batteries are harmful to the environment and contain substances such as cadmium, mercury or lead. Such batteries are marked with a crossed out wastebin,in addition of the symbol for one of the heavy metals: Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury) or Pb (lead).
